So Drake waited outside the pub, needing to be let in in order to go inside since he wasn't a warden.

Being an inmate could be annoying at times.

[ Wally makes a point of waiting a few minutes, long enough (he thinks) for Drake to get to the pub before making an appearance. He stops super-speeding a few yards away to avoid freaking out his inmate too bad and walks up at a leisurely pace. ]

Drake looked over at the guy approaching him. "Hey, are you my warden, then?"

Wally simply raised an eyebrow. "Wally West, at your service." He very pointedly made no comment on his inmate's fashion sense.

"Warden's first," he said, waving his hand to indicate Wally should go first since...he couldn't open the door.

And so he did. Wally entered the pub, motioning for his inmate to follow and immediately heading to the counter to order a beer.

Drake followed him in, going to the counter and sitting down. "I'll have a bloody Mary."

"So," Wally begins casually. "You've had this ring almost your whole life?"

"Yeah." Drake watches as the bartender begins mixing his drink. "Since I was a kid. I never even take it off to sleep."

"How'd you get it?"

"My parents apprenticed me out to another Morganian. He gave it to me."

"And you never took it off. He must have meant a lot to you." Wally understands. He still has the ring Barry wore before he died.

"He abandoned me when I was fifteen." And he was still bitter about that, because he had meant a lot to him.

Wally knew that feeling too. "But you still kept it. That's some dedication."

He fiddled with the ring a bit, then took a drink when his bloody mary came up. "I kind of hoped he'd come back. And I liked being closely connected to my powers."

Wally was subconsciously fiddling with his own ring, that doubled as his warden item and the holder for his costume.

"That's really the only way you've found to use them?"

"I never tried to find another way. There might be one, I know that Prime Merlinean was supposed to be able to use his powers without the ring, but don't know if that's true."

"I never thought about it until I came here. Now I kind of want to, especially since...Horvath probably took my ring when he killed me. He drained me, and that probably would be the best thing to channel his new magic, since it was mine for so long. Which means when I go back...I don't know if I'll be able to keep it."

"Maybe we could work on that when you're further along. I wouldn't get too far into planning your triumphant return just yet."

He has to roll his eyes at that. "Nobody's naturally evil."
